Masha and the Bear is a Russian animated television series released in
2009, based on the oral children's folk story of the same name. Masha is a
little blond girl with green eyes, wild and headstrong, who gets into many
funny and entertaining situations. She wears a traditional Russian fuscia
colored dress and in all the episodes she is the only character who speaks.
Masha lives in a house lost in the Taiga.
Bear is the other main character and Masha always addresses him as “Bear”.
In the past, he was a circus bear, but now he lives in a house hollowed out
of a tree in the forest, carved in a large tree trunk but it is furnished,

Bear is much attached to the little girl, although he always tries to avoid
her or keeps her busy to have some peace and quiet. To Masha, Bear is an
almost a father figure: he takes care of her and endures her whims with
